Job Summary: The Accounts Receivable Analyst will be responsible for the administration of all client funds held by the firm in escrow accounts as well as unapplied money and client credits, according to state guidelines and internal controls. As part of that role may also be responsible for the research of and posting daily cash receipts where assistance is needed. The employee must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive materials and maintain strict confidentiality due to the nature of the position. ***Salary in the range of $70,000 - $95,000 dependent on location and experience level*** Essential Job Duties: * Management of firm escrow account balances ensuring client accounts are active and comply with state guidelines * Prepare and maintain proper documentation for annual filings and audits * Proactive analysis of client retainer balances that are stale * Initiate client facing discussions regarding the research of unapplied funds and credits in order to reconcile and resolve in a timely manner * Monthly analysis of inactive client funds to be reviewed by the Revenue Manager – Quarterly reviews with the Director of Financial Operations * Analyze and process payment of client retainers, settlements, and third-party funds * Preparation and verification of outgoing wires instructions for all client related funds by obtaining proper approvals, maintaining proper documentation, and following internal controls * Escheatment of old trust balances that have gone through the states requirements for refund * Assist with collections, client/matter cash applications, and billing issues. * Assist with responding to internal and external requests for copies of invoices, W9, and wiring instructions * Assist with other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements: * 2-4 years of recent escrow and/or accounts receivable experience, is required * Previous experience in the legal industry a plus * Knowledgeable of general accounting principles * Proficient in Microsoft Office products * Excellent communication skills to deal effectively with internal and external clients * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to ever changing priorities * Must have strong attention to detail * Must be able to utilize technology to streamline and improve processes * Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to deal courteously and effectively with a diverse group of people.
