About the Role The Director of Performance Improvement supports the Vice President of Operational Performance Excellence by assisting in the turnaround of underperforming ABA therapy centers and the successful launch of new centers. Additionally, supporting in an operations capacity when needed. The ideal candidate is a proactive operator with strong analytical skills, on-the-ground leadership experience, and a passion for improving clinical and business outcomes. The position requires frequent travel, a strong ability to follow through on operational directives, and effective coordination with both center-level and corporate teams. Key Responsibilities Turnaround & Operational Support Support the VP in conducting operational audits of underperforming centers to identify gaps in performance, staffing, and service delivery. Execute improvement plans developed in partnership with the VP, following up regularly with center leaders to ensure changes are embedded. Assist in standardizing workflows and procedures across assigned centers to improve consistency, efficiency, and quality of care. Collect and analyze center-level performance data to track progress on KPIs and escalate concerns proactively. New Center Launch Assistance Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure readiness for new center openings, including staffing, training, licensing, and compliance. Serve as the on-site support during the opening phase to establish foundational processes aligned with organizational standards. Support in transitioning of new leaders when appropriate. Report progress and operational needs to the VP to ensure timely issue resolution and support. Staffing and Culture Support Help assess staffing models and provide real-time recommendations on resource needs. Support onboarding and training of new staff during turnarounds or center launches. Promote adherence to the company’s 10 Non-Negotiables and overall culture of accountability. Compliance & Quality Oversight Conduct routine audits for quality assurance and regulatory compliance. Support implementation of corrective action plans when issues are identified. Help prepare centers for licensing renewals, payer audits, and internal reviews. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Psychology, or a related field preferred. 2–3 years of healthcare or behavioral health operational experience, preferably in a multi-site setting Exposure to ABA therapy, autism services, or a related field is a strong plus Experience with center launches, turnarounds, or project-based operations work Strong organizational and follow-through skills Effective communicator across all levels of leadership Capable of traveling up to 75% of the time 21 paid days off (15 days of PTO, which increases with tenure, plus 6 holidays).
