Job Title: Lead Oracle EPM & U.S. GAAP Architect / Principal Consultant Location: 100% Remote Visa: USC, GC, H1B Transfer, EAD Job type: W2 About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Oracle EPM / U.S. GAAP Architect to lead the GAAP workstream during a major financial transformation. You will play a critical role in aligning technical architecture, reporting controls, and regulatory compliance as we transition from IFRS 17 to U.S. GAAP. You will work across finance, compliance, and technology domains, and oversee vendor deliverables and stakeholder expectations. Top Skills & QualificationsMust-Have Technical & Functional Skills • Deep expertise in Oracle EPM modules (ARCS, FCCS, EDM, TRCS) and how they integrate into financial reporting and consolidation flows. • Strong familiarity with U.S. GAAP standards and experience aligning system architecture with regulatory / audit requirements. • Proven track record in GAAP integration (e.g. mapping, reconciliations, intercompany eliminations, disclosures) in a large enterprise environment. • Skilled in designing scalable, audit-ready reporting controls, ensuring robustness, traceability, segregation of duties, and validation logic. • Ability to lead technical architecture / design sessions, provide guidance on solution patterns, and enforce architectural guardrails. • Experience managing vendor engagements — assessing vendor deliverables, enforcing SLAs/quality, handling escalations, and coordinating end-to-end accountability. • Strong stakeholder communication skills — able to distill complex technical/financial issues for senior leadership, and drive alignment across cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities • Lead and own the GAAP workstream during the transition from IFRS 17 to U.S. GAAP, ensuring alignment with the broader Oracle EPM transformation roadmap. • Collaborate closely with finance, compliance, and technology stakeholders to define the GAAP migration strategy, data flows, reconciliation frameworks, and control design. • Serve as the subject matter expert for U.S. GAAP reporting requirements and translate them into EPM module configurations and integration logic. • Architect and validate GAAP-specific reporting controls, disclosures, intercompany eliminations, adjusting entries, and audit-ready reports. • Facilitate technical design sessions, review architectural alternatives, and validate vendor design proposals for GAAP alignment. • Oversee and manage the external vendor(s) responsible for implementing GAAP functionality — ensuring high quality deliverables, compliance to technical and financial standards, and on-time delivery. • Review vendor deliverables (design, test scripts, implementation artifacts) against GAAP-specific acceptance criteria and internal standards. • Provide support during deployment and post-production phases — manage issue resolution, defect prioritization, and enhancements. • Prepare and deliver status presentations, risk/issue dashboards, and milestone updates to senior leadership and steering committees. Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Information Systems (or equivalent). • 10+ years of experience in financial systems, reporting, or accounting transformations. • At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Oracle EPM (ARCS, FCCS, EDM, TRCS) in large-scale projects. • Prior experience in GAAP / IFRS conversions, consolidations, and financial controls. • Strong understanding of general ledger, intercompany, currency translation, accounting close, and finance domain processes. • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills. • Track record of working with vendors / third-party solution providers in a consulting or enterprise context. • Experience working in regulated industries (financial services, insurance, banking, etc.) is a plus. Desirable / Preferred Experience • Experience in financial services industry or other highly regulated sectors. • Prior involvement in IFRS to U.S. GAAP migration or coexistence programs. • Exposure to ERP & reporting ecosystems integrated with Oracle EPM (e.g. Oracle Cloud ERP, Oracle Financials, or similar). • Knowledge of audit, SOX, internal controls, and regulatory compliance frameworks. • Experience in change management, training, and post-go-live support for EPM / accounting systems. #LI-SS1
