Job Title: Full Stack Java Developer (with i18n/Localization Expertise) Location: Remote (Must work EST hours: 7 AM – 4 PM ET) Duration: Full-time position Job Posting • We are looking for a Full Stack Java Developer who is strong in backend development and has hands-on experience with internationalization (i18n) and localization. • This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building automation tools, improving workflows, and ensuring applications are ready for global users. When Sourcing Candidates, Prioritize • Candidates with hands-on i18n experience (this is the top priority). • Strong backend Java developers who can also handle front-end work. • Experience in AWS + CI/CD environments. Candidates are comfortable working EST hours from day one. • Those who have worked on localization or global web application projects. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop automation tools to streamline localization workflows. • Work with engineering and localization teams to make web apps and content internationally ready. • Improve translation accuracy and reduce manual work through scalable solutions. • Develop and maintain APIs for localization systems. • Ensure web content supports multiple locales and languages smoothly. • Write clear technical documentation for ongoing and future development. Must-Have Technical Skills • Backend (60%) – Java, Spring Boot, Node.js • Frontend (40%) – JavaScript, HTML, CSS • AWS – DynamoDB, S3 (Terraform experience is a plus) • Internationalization (i18n) – text direction, character encoding, locale-based formatting • API development and integration • Automation and Testing for localization • Agile development experience • CI/CD tools (GitHub, Jenkins, etc.) • Collaboration tools – Slack, Jira, Confluence Good To Have • Knowledge of Localization Tools or Translation Management Systems • Familiarity with Unix/Linux and shell scripting • Awareness of UX and cultural differences in multilingual interfaces At HYR Global Source, your skills and ideas matter.
