This opportunity is with the Hypothesis Braintrust team. Braintrust is an in-house analytic team that consults internally and externally on statistical and machine learning techniques. The team differentiates itself from our competitors by being industry-leading quantitative thinkers as well as excellent communicators and storytellers. All qualified candidates must be well-rounded and apt for front of house duties. WhatYoullDo: This internship is a hands-on introduction to the field of applied market research.You will have the opportunity to work directly with seasoned researchers and contribute to work for clients like Disney, Toyota, and Starbucks. • Proactively learn the Hypothesis research process and standards • Observe and gain exposure to quantitative research methodologies, traditional statistical and modern machine learning techniques • Contribute to the development of in-house/client-facing data-driven deliverables (dashboards, modeling outputs, and data-driven report summaries) • Assistseniormanagerswithtasksrelatedto multiple phases of research projects, such as quality control, data accuracy, and consistency checks WhatYoullGain: • Firsthand exposure to market research practices used by the worlds leading brands • Experience working across varied industries includingtech, entertainment, financial services, and automotive • A deeper understanding of how insights translate into action for marketing, innovation, and brand strategy • Mentorship from experienced researchers and a supportive, inclusive team environment WhoYouAre: We love what we do and are passionate about the quality of our work!We areseekingan exceptionally smart, motivated intern who shares the same commitment to excellence. Werelooking for someone who: • May be pursuing a degree/recently completed a degreeinstatistics, data science, quantitative psychology, business, orrelated fields • Have some experience in applied statistics and/or machine learning methods (experience beyond coursework is preferred, personal projects are great) • Some knowledge of programmatic coding (tell us what you like to work in and why! Can you code outside of generativeAI?) • Some knowledge of classical statistical methodologies, machine learningtechniquesand their applications (e.g., EDA, linear modeling, classification modeling, tree-based approaches, data-reduction) • Ability to convert modeling outputs into compelling storytelling • Has strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills • Is proactive, dependable, andeagerto contribute to a collaborative team About Hypothesis: Hypothesis is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
