The Role The Senior Manager, Development and Pipeline - Americas is accountable for generating and qualifying deal leads, optimizing deal workflows from lead to execution, driving accountability with partner functions, and ensuring consistent delivery of materials needed to advance deals. The role ensures that the Development Operations team operates efficiently to achieve those objectives, aligns with broader business initiatives, and collaborates effectively with partner teams. Additionally, the role will support the AVP Development Pipeline Management in ensuring deals are healthy at the point of handover to operating teams. The position reports directly to the VP of Global Growth Operations, with a dotted line to Head of Development, Americas, and leads a team of individuals focused on Development Operations. Specific responsibilities include: • Role & Process Development: Develops requirements for current and future lead generation, sales support, and pipeline management roles and processes; tests solutions and works with regional development leaders to customize deal support systems. • Deal Support: Tests and adapts processes to advances live deals through the sales process from discovery to execution; ensures single point of accountability, as well as transparency and accuracy of deal status/prioritization via deal task queue. • Lead Generation & Qualification: Tests and adapts process of sourcing and qualifying potential opportunities in the early stages of the deal process through a blend of analytics, market research, broker and partner networking, third-party data sources, and direct outreach. • Team Leadership: Builds and manages a high-performing support team with clearly defined responsibilities and outcomes; develops team members and aligns individual goals to Growth and regional performance scorecards. • Cross Functional Collaboration: Ensures deal alignment between Development and key partners including Feasibility, Design, Legal, Development Finance, and others; facilitates efficient feedback loops, approvals, and decision-making to remove friction in the deal process. • Deal Governance: Administrates deal valuation and approval governance processes (e.g. regional committees) and works to make these processes more efficient through automation and experimentation. • Deal Transition: Assists with setting and meeting regional standards for deal hand-off from development to O&C teams. • Pipeline Reporting: Distributes pipeline reporting to regional team members and provides basic analysis on performance, benchmarks, and trends. • Pipeline Management: Drives continuous improvement of executed deal pipeline management processes. Qualifications Experience Required: • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a support role within a sales, operations, or related environment. • Experience in managing and advancing deals through an enterprise sales or development process. • Experience providing leadership to a team, ensuring professional growth while maintaining accountability and high-quality results. • Strong project and time management skills; ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. • Experience analyzing workflows and processes, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing improvements that drive productivity, quality, and cost savings. • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for customer relationship management, data analysis, and communication. • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and priorities. Experience Preferred: • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. • Experience in the Hospitality industry, preferably in development or related capacities • Strong skills in market research and analytics to identify and qualify opportunities. This role is also eligible for the Annual Incentive Plan. The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work.
