Qualifications The Director of Product & Process Development plays a pivotal role in advancing Hyatt’s brand-led design execution through the creation, refinement, and implementation of physical product standards and processes across brands. This position leads the evolution of prototype designs, FF&E and OS&E specifications, and supports the development of vendor programs, design resource tools, and technical standards documentation along with developing and optimizing the systems, workflows, and digital platforms that support the delivery and execution of these standards. • Identify, develop, and implement process enhancements that accelerate speed-to-market for new design standards, prototypes, and project delivery. • Champion the alignment of standards delivery tools with broader guest experience, operational, and commercial objectives. • Drive platform integration between product, technical, and operational content. • Collaborate closely with Design & Construction team verticals to ensure process continuity and executional practicality. • Design structured onboarding tools, project learning modules, and process education resources for internal team and external consultants. • Collaborate and represent process and product development globally in support of standards and systems evolution. • Maintain and update brand standard documentation tools, including digital platforms and field-friendly guides. • Manage prototype model rooms and coordinate revisions based on design evolution or operational feedback. • Coordinate cross-functional input to ensure that prototype designs reflect regional relevance and global consistency. • Manage relationships with approved product vendors and manufacturers for FF&E/OS&E, ensuring quality, sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and brand compliance. • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Risk teams to maintain technical design standards and performance criteria. • Coordinate with Procurement team to ensure alignment between design intent, sourcing strategy, and budget adherence. Qualifications Experience Required: • 10+ years with long tenure working for or with hotel brands focusing on design and/or project management. • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction management, engineering, interior architecture, project management or related field required. • Management, people leadership or mentor experience is required. Experience Preferred: • Project Management certifications and/or architecture license. • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Blubeam Revu, Autodesk AutoCAD, Smartsheet Additional Comments: • Ability to travel throughout the Americas approximately 20-30%. • Must understand architectural drawings/specifications and have familiarity with ADA/IBC regulations. • Knowledge of various building types, MEP systems, construction planning processes and cost methods. • Strategic, collaborative mindset with cross-functional fluency • Skilled in FFE, procurement and interior products/vendors. The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $170,000. This position is also eligible to earn incentive awards and an annual bonus. The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the minimum local wage rate.
