Lead and scale a global firmware verification and validation organization, ensuring high quality, automation, and seamless integration across product verticals.
Minimum 20 years in embedded software/firmware quality, extensive experience with SW/FW engineering for SOC solutions, proven leadership, and expertise in automation, scripting, and OS integration.
Lead a global team responsible for verification and validation of complex firmware platforms. In addition to being fully hands-on, this role will oversee a talented group of engineers with extensive background in ensuring long-term stability, scalability, and lifecycle support across multiple product verticals. Ensure seamless coordination across regions and functions, while enabling innovation, reducing operational risks, and improving overall quality & customer satisfaction. You will work closely with SoC, firmware development, CM and be responsible for the end-to-end integration of a high-performance CPU firmware stack. Responsibilities • Build, manage, and scale a global FW verification and validation organization • Be a strong advocate for FW quality • Define and refine automation strategies to continue to optimize the CI/CD cycle • Improve firmware release cadence and ensure quality standards through robust testing and validation. • Implement risk management practices, ensuring stability and reliability of production software. • Manage and reduce technical debt through proactive planning and execution. • Act as a key quality interface between production software organizations and customer engineering teams. • Contribute to FW architecture and design with a focus on smooth integration and DFT Qualifications • MS in EE or CE with a minimum 20 years in embedded software/firmware quality and at least 10 years leadership experience • Proven knowledge of Windows, Linux, Android, Python, and C/C++. • Strong demonstrable experience in Automation and Scripting • Extensive knowledge and experience in SW/FW engineering with focus on SOC solutions (minimum 5 years). • Experience with SW/FW integration at BIOS/UEFI, Operating System for x86/ARM64/RISC-V
