HumCap's client, a privately held, well-established company in the energy sector, is searching for a Logistics Manager to join their team. The company specializes in the marketing and distribution of ethanol, diesel, crude oil, and gasoline blend stocks, achieving $3.5 billion in revenue in 2023. It is expanding its portfolio with new projects in the pipeline, including a Canadian subsidiary set to launch in 2025 to meet growing market demand. Position Summary A fast-growing, privately held energy marketing and logistics company is seeking a Logistics Manager to support operations involving ethanol, crude oil, methanol, natural gasoline, and other blendstocks. This position will manage product movement from contract execution through inventory, system management, and shipper coordination. Ideal for candidates with a logistics, accounting, or customer service background who are eager to join a dynamic and entrepreneurial team. Primary Responsibilities • Manage assigned product lines or plant logistics from contract to delivery • Maintain accurate inventory and coordinate with shippers and suppliers • Enter and manage data within enterprise systems • Collaborate with various departments including sales, accounting, and compliance • Ensure timely and accurate shipment processing • Maintain strong working relationships with vendors and terminal partners Key Relationships • Sales Team • Vendors, Terminals, Shippers • Finance and Compliance Teams • Plant and Office Personnel Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree required • 2–3 years’ experience in logistics, accounting, or customer service • Strong Excel, Word, Outlook skills • Basic accounting knowledge (P&L, accruals, debits/credits) • Quick learner, detail-oriented, and strong with numbers • Excellent communication and customer service skills • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment Critical Success Factors • On-time, error-free shipment execution • Effective cross-functional communication • Initiative in problem-solving and process improvement • High customer satisfaction and responsiveness • Self-motivated and organized
