Certified Nurse Assistant FT Nights 7p-7a w/ rotating weekends (.95) shift differential A Nursing Assistant is responsible for assisting Registered Nurses in treating patients throughout the hospital under the direct supervision of licensed staff. The CNA will perform routine patient care duties, provide a safe and therapeutic environment, and assist in the admission, provision of patient care, discharge, and transfer of patients. • Effectively keeps clinical/administrative areas safe, clean, and neat to maintain a structured environment, while communicating with patients about their needs. • Performs tasks such as responding to call lights, feeding, bathing, preparing patients for transfers along utilizing the language line when applicable. • Performs and documents direct patient care tasks such as assistance with personal care and other activities of daily living. • Provides a safe, clean environment to maintain a structured and therapeutic environment. • Participates in the development and ongoing review of the patient’s treatment plan and progress towards goals. • Provides one-on-one sit-down assistance with patients on an as-needed basis. • Reports any changes observed in condition or behavior of a patient to professional personnel (and if applicable document). • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with established time constraints and in difficult situations.
