Position 1: Junior Financial Engineer Job Summary As a Junior Financial Engineer, you will play a key role in building and maintaining our data infrastructure to support high-quality risk analytics and reporting. This entry-level position is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional with a strong foundation in finance, data handling, and programming. You'll work closely with our experienced team to integrate financial data from various sources, process it efficiently, and generate actionable reports. Key Responsibilities • Retrieve and integrate financial data from diverse sources, including Bloomberg terminals, stock exchanges, brokers, and other APIs or databases. • Clean, transform, and process raw data into structured, usable databases using tools like SQL, Python, or ETL frameworks. • Develop and automate report generation from databases, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with client requirements. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot data issues and enhance data pipelines for improved efficiency. • Assist in testing and validating data processes to maintain high standards of integrity and reliability. Qualifications • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply). • Basic experience or coursework in data retrieval, integration, and processing (internships or academic projects count). • Familiarity with financial data sources (e.g., Bloomberg, exchanges) and tools like Python, SQL, or Excel/VBA. • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication skills and a eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment. • Eligibility for H1B visa or OPT sponsorship preferred for international candidates. Preferred Skills • Exposure to database management systems (e.g. SQL). • Understanding of financial instruments and risk metrics. • Basic knowledge of automation scripting or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure). Pay Range • Consulting phase: $40-50 per hour, with a minimum of 20 hours per week. Transition to full-time after 3 months, with salary to be negotiated based on performance.
