Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first The Software Engineer II – Full Stack is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications using React.js on the frontend and Java Spring Boot on the backend. This role collaborates closely with product, UX, and platform teams to deliver high‑quality, secure, and performant solutions. The engineer contributes to API development, UI components, and cloud‑ready microservices while adhering to engineering best practices. The role also supports ongoing modernization, performance optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position is remote; however, the candidate will be expected to work according to Eastern Standard Time or Central Standard Time. Job Responsibilities: Design and implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs in Node.js and Java/Spring Boot; document with Swagger and test with Postman. Build event‑driven services and consumers/producers on Apache Kafka. Deliver microservices with clear domain boundaries, API versioning, and backward compatibility. Ship accessible, performant UI with React and Next.js (SSR/SSG, routing, caching); leverage hooks and robust state management. Build reusable front end components; author maintainable styles with CSS/SCSS. Integrate front‑end apps with GraphQL clients and Content Management System like Adobe Experience Manager. Deploy to Azure/GCP; considering observability (logs, metrics, traces), feature flags and manage secrets and configuration securely. Partner with security on VITS remediation, dependency vulnerability scanning (SCA), static/dynamic testing (SAST/DAST), and OWASP best practices. Uphold engineering excellence with unit/integration/contract tests (JUnit, Mockito, Jest), performance profiling, and SonarQube quality gates. ⁠Model and query data across PostgreSQL and NoSQL; own schema evolution, migrations, and performance tuning. Use your skills to make an impact Required Qualifications 3+ years of professional software engineering experience in building production services in Node.js using advanced Node.js design patterns (async/await, streams, clustering), performance tuning, and memory profiling. 3+ years React/Next.js deep experience (SSR, routing, caching, hydration) and AEM integration familiarity. Strong proficiency and 3+ years' experience with Java, Spring Boot, GraphQL, REST; hands‑on with Kafka and microservices in containerized environments. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Preferred Qualifications Practical experience with PostgreSQL and at least one NoSQL store. Working knowledge of Azure/GCP and modern CI/CD pipelines; comfort with Docker/Kubernetes. Security awareness: demonstrated collaboration on VITS or equivalent vulnerability/cyber remediation and secure SDLC practices. Experience in healthcare or regulated environments; exposure to privacy, compliance, and PHI data handling. Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $80,900 - $110,300 per year This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
