Associate Director, IT Portfolio Management - Quality Engineering Humana is seeking an Associate Director, IT Portfolio Management to lead the new Quality Engineering Program Management team. In this role, you will provide operational enablement and strategic support for the Enterprise Software Quality Engineering Center of Excellence, helping connect technology priorities, portfolio demand, financial planning, and enterprise quality initiatives. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex work, partnering across teams, and helping an organization deliver high-value technology outcomes with greater transparency and efficiency. The Associate Director, IT Portfolio Management - Quality Engineering will provide operational enablement and strategic support for Humana's Enterprise Software Quality Engineering Center of Excellence. This role will help drive organizational effectiveness across portfolio operations, financial and vendor management, resource planning, executive reporting, associate engagement, and enterprise quality transformation initiatives. This leader will partner closely with Quality Engineering leadership, Enterprise Technology, Finance, Procurement, Human Resources, Enterprise Portfolio Management, and cross-functional technology partners to strengthen operating rhythms, improve transparency, and enable consistent execution of Quality Engineering priorities. Key responsibilities include: - Lead operational enablement, intake, portfolio governance, planning routines, and leadership forums for Enterprise Software Quality Engineering. - Partner with Finance, Procurement, Vendor Management, and QE leaders to manage budgeting, forecasting, vendor oversight, resource planning, and capacity management. - Develop executive dashboards, scorecards, business reviews, decision documents, and operating reports that provide visibility into organizational health, financials, demand, capacity, goals, and transformation progress. - Translate operational data into insights, risks, trends, and recommendations that support senior leadership decision-making. - Manage leadership follow-ups, action registers, communications, All Hands planning, associate engagement, and cross-functional coordination. - Support enterprise quality transformation and QE Innovation Lab operations through intake coordination, prioritization, milestone tracking, risk escalation, executive reporting, and stakeholder alignment. - Build operational playbooks, templates, calendars, and governance routines that improve consistency, transparency, accountability, and execution. Use your skills to make an impact Required Qualifications - 8 or more years of experience in IT portfolio management, technology operations, program management, business operations, strategic planning, financial management, or a related field. - Experience supporting technology organizations, software engineering teams, quality engineering teams, enterprise platforms, or technology transformation initiatives. - Demonstrated experience with operational planning, executive reporting, financial tracking, resource planning, vendor coordination, and organizational communications. - Strong understanding of portfolio management, intake coordination, demand management, governance routines, and operational performance reporting. - Experience developing executive-level presentations, dashboards, scorecards, operating reviews, and decision-support materials. - Demonstrated ability to manage complex work across multiple stakeholders, priorities, workstreams, and deadlines. - Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications - Experience in a regulated industry and within engineering, quality, platform, architecture, or transformation organizations. - Familiarity with Agile, Lean Portfolio Management, DevOps, CI/CD, dashboards, portfolio tools, vendor governance, and capacity planning. - Experience supporting communications, engagement, innovation, or transformation initiatives. - Strong operational, technical, and business process knowledge. - MBA, PMP, Six Sigma, or similar credentials preferred. - Experience leading large, complex, cross-functional programs. Work Location and Schedule - Work type: Full-time employee - Schedule: 40 hours per week - Primary location: Remote New York with occasional presence in office. - Additional remote locations: Massachusetts and New Jersey with occasional presence required in office. Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $142,300 - $195,700 per year This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
