The Associate VP, Software Engineering is responsible for all aspects of software product delivery and performance, leading cross-functional teams and providing vision and direction in technology strategy for the area. The position requires an in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across segments and/or enterprise-wide. Requirements • At least 10 + years of progressive leadership experience within a technology area in a large segment / business • 3+ years of large scale technology solution delivery experience • 15+ years technology experience • Deep expertise and demonstrated experience in enterprise scale applications • Experience with Healthcare business • Experience with cloud services and SaaS platforms • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business management or related field or equivalent work experience • Experience in managing change by leading and energizing others through periods of transformation, ambiguity, and complexity • Experience leading technology services in a highly regulated business • Proven ability to operate effectively and independently with minimal guidance in a highly fluid and ambiguous environment • Excellent communication, story-telling and influencing skills • Experience with collaborating at executive leadership level • Experience with Visio, Microsoft Office or similar tools • Established ability to successfully work with cross-functional team and work well with other architects/leaders/teams • Healthcare related experience • Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-changing environment; be nimble and adaptable, handle ambiguity • Department of Defense contract requires U.S. citizenship for this position • Successfully receive interim approval for government security clearance (eQIP – electronic questionnaire for investigation processing) • Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field.
