About the role We are seeking an exceptionally organized, strategic, and proactive Program Manager, People Strategy & Innovation to support our People Team and Head of People. This role acts as a strategic partner, program leader, and operational backbone, driving key initiatives across the entire People function (Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Employee Experience and People Operations). You will be instrumental in increasing the efficiency and impact of the People team, ensuring we operate with agility and efficiency. A core part of this role will be identifying and implementing AI tools and methodologies to modernize and optimize our People processes. This role reports directly to the Head of People. What you get to do every day Strategic Planning & Execution Strategic Initiatives: Partner across the People team to define, launch, and drive the People Team's annual and quarterly strategic priorities, translating vision into actionable project plans and measurable results. Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as the primary liaison and program manager for critical People Team projects that span multiple functions (Finance, Legal, Tech etc.), ensuring seamless communication and execution. Operational Rhythm: Manage the People Team's operating cadence, including planning and facilitating all-hands, team offsites, leadership meetings, and quarterly business reviews (QBRs). Ensure clear agendas, materials, and follow-through on action items. Vendor & Contract Management: Manage key vendor relationships for People initiatives, overseeing contract renewals, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met, and tracking project-specific budgets against forecasts. Program Management Project Lifecycle Management: Lead the People Team's high-priority, multi-functional projects from inception to completion, including scoping, resource allocation and status reporting. Process Documentation: Own the development and maintenance of centralized People Team operating procedures, project roadmaps, and knowledge repositories to ensure consistency and facilitate efficient onboarding of new team members. Resource Optimization: Strategically allocate People Team resources across competing priorities to ensure the greatest impact on the company's business goals and employee experience. AI & Process Optimization AI Integration: Research, evaluate, and champion the adoption of AI tools to automate routine HR tasks (e.g., data analysis, drafting internal communications, knowledge management) and enhance the employee experience. Data & Insights: Partner with the People Operations team to develop and maintain critical dashboards and reports. Synthesize data to provide clear, actionable insights for strategic decision-making. Process Excellence: Continuously review and streamline People Team processes, focusing on eliminating friction, improving scalability, and leveraging systems and AI to maximize efficiency. What you bring to the role 5+ years of experience in a program management, operations, or strategic enablement role, preferably within a start-up environment. Strategic & Operational Skillset: Proven ability to manage complex, multi-track programs simultaneously while maintaining a high level of detail-orientation and execution. Proven experience leading organizational change, and navigating ambiguity. AI/Technology Forward: Demonstrated interest and experience in leveraging technology, specifically AI, to solve business problems and drive efficiency. Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling narratives for executive-level audiences. Reporting: Advanced proficiency with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Google Sheets/Excel, Tableau, Workday). Compensation - At Human Interest, there are a number of factors that are used to determine the appropriate pay range for each position. We take into account the cost of labor for each position in various markets across the U.S. The base salary for this position spans $135,000 - $150,000 and represents the minimum in our lowest geographic region to a maximum in our highest geographic region. The salary we offer to a new employee within this range is based on their location within the U.S., their relevant job-related skills, and experience. At Human Interest, base salary is one component of the overall total rewards package. Depending on the position, additional compensation components such as bonuses, commissions, and equity may be offered.
