This is a remote position. Position Summary: Our client is seeking a Data Analyst III, Medical Economics to analyze integrated datasets, driving critical business decisions and improving clinical outcomes. This remote role will focus on supporting CST/EST stakeholders, with candidates in PST expected to work a 6 AM - 3 PM PST schedule. Key Responsibilities: Analyze data from various sources (claims, provider, member, encounter) to identify trends and assess business impact. Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot complex reports and scripts using SQL, Excel, and other analytics tools. Contribute to the execution of large-scale projects with minimal direction. Assist in the design and implementation of process improvements and automation. Perform root-cause analysis of data irregularities and provide actionable solutions to leadership. Manage multiple data-related tasks within deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Collaborate cross-functionally to present data-driven insights to non-technical business stakeholders. Engage with customers to gather requirements and validate results. Provide guidance to junior analysts. Requirements Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred). 4+ years of experience working with large databases and data management or 2+ years of IT experience. Experience with SQL and querying languages. Strong understanding of data analysis techniques such as trend analysis, root-cause analysis, and data mining. Preferred knowledge of Python, R, and modern BI tools like Microsoft PowerBI. Experience in healthcare analytics and familiarity with claims payment, utilization management, and risk adjustment for government-sponsored healthcare is a plus. Preferred Skills: Healthcare analytics experience Emerging trend analysis, financial modeling, claims pricing, contract/network analysis, and ROI evaluation. Strong communication skills, both verbal and visual, for presenting insights to non-technical audiences.
