Job Overview As a Full-Stack Developer, you will assist the transition of multiple e-commerce websites from WordPress to Next.js. You will build a scalable backend, implement a responsive frontend based on provided designs, integrate payment and authentication systems, and enforce strict security measures. This role combines technical expertise, AI-driven efficiency, and collaboration with our design team to deliver high-performance, secure e-commerce solutions. Responsibilities • Backend Development: • Build a robust backend to support e-commerce features, including product pages, subscriptions, affiliate links, coupons, referral systems, SEO optimization, analytics, and reporting. • Utilize Neon (serverless PostgreSQL) for scalable data management. ? Integrate Authorize.net for secure payment processing, handling one-time purchases and subscriptions. • Develop APIs (REST or GraphQL) to connect the backend with the Next.js frontend. • Frontend Development: • Implement responsive, interactive frontends using Next.js and TypeScript, based on Figma designs provided by the design team. • Create pages like home, product listings, cart, checkout, and admin dashboards, leveraging Next.js features (SSR, SSG, API routes) for performance. • Authentication: • Integrate Google Firebase Authentication for secure user login, registration, and session management, supporting OAuth, email verification, and token-based auth. • Security Implementation: • Ensure end-to-end encryption for data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest (e.g., AES-256 in Neon). • Configure strict Content Security Policy (CSP) with nonces to prevent XSS attacks. • Enforce SSO and MFA for all admin/staff access, using Firebase or compatible tools. • Set up IP whitelisting for Neon database to restrict sensitive data access. ? Implement encrypted backups in AWS S3 for secure data recovery. • AI Tool Utilization: • Leverage AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Anima, Locofy) to accelerate coding, design-to-code conversion, SEO optimization, and testing. • Migration: • Assist in exporting content from WordPress (e.g., via WP CLI) and mapping it to the new Next.js architecture. • Collaborate with the design team to ensure accurate implementation of Figma designs and iterative feedback. Required Skills and Qualifications • Technical Expertise: • Proficiency in Next.js and TypeScript for building scalable, type-safe web applications. • Experience with Neon (serverless PostgreSQL) or similar databases. ? Familiarity with Google Firebase Authentication for secure user management. ? Knowledge of Authorize.net for payment processing and subscription handling. ? Experience with AWS S3 for encrypted backups. • Design and Development: • Ability to translate Figma designs into responsive, pixel-perfect frontends. ? Strong understanding of e-commerce features (product pages, subscriptions, referrals, etc.). • Familiarity with API development (REST or GraphQL) and modern JavaScript frameworks. • Security: • Knowledge of security best practices (e.g., OWASP guidelines). • Experience implementing end-to-end encryption, CSP, SSO, MFA, and IP whitelisting. • AI Tools: • Comfort using AI-driven tools for code generation, testing, or content optimization. • Nice-to-Haves: • Prior experience migrating WordPress sites (e.g., WooCommerce) to modern frameworks. • Familiarity with SEO best practices and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics). ? Understanding of compliance standards like GDPR or PCI-DSS. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 3+ years of full-stack development experience, with a focus on e-commerce or web applications. • Proven ability to deliver secure, scalable, and performant web solutions.
