As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced business development professional to help expand our client base in a thoughtful, relationship-driven way. Role Overview We are seeking a Contract Business Development Consultant to support firm growth through strategic relationship building, referrals, and new client acquisition. This role is ideal for a seasoned business development professional who is well-connected, trusted within their network, and comfortable opening doors with small business owners who align with Hoyle & Company’s ideal client profile. This is a contract role with flexible hours and a results-oriented structure, best suited for someone who thrives on relationship-building rather than cold outreach. Key Responsibilities • Leverage an existing professional network to introduce and connect Hoyle & Company with qualified small business owners • Identify and cultivate referral opportunities with centers of influence, including attorneys, bankers, financial advisors, and other trusted professionals • Facilitate warm introductions and initial conversations with prospective clients • Collaborate with firm leadership to align outreach efforts with Hoyle & Company’s ideal client profile and growth goals • Represent the firm professionally and authentically in networking environments, meetings, and events • Track and report on introductions, conversations, and opportunities generated Ideal Candidate Profile • Extensive experience in business development, sales, or relationship management, preferably in professional services • Well-networked within the small business community, ideally with direct access to business owners who need tax, accounting, or advisory services • Strong reputation built on trust, credibility, and long-term relationships • Comfortable operating independently with minimal oversight • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Results-driven and motivated by performance-based compensation • Experience working with or alongside CPA firms, professional services firms, or advisory businesses is a strong plus Engagement Structure • Contract position with flexible hours • Compensation structure to be discussed and aligned with experience and results, including performance-based incentives • Opportunity to grow the relationship as the firm continues to scale Why Work With Hoyle & Company • Work directly with firm leadership in a growing, entrepreneurial environment • Flexible, remote-friendly engagement • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on firm growth • Professional, relationship-first culture with a long-term mindset
