Bachelor's degree, 5+ years in management information systems, 5+ years supervisory experience, knowledge of ERP/MES, Microsoft infrastructure, process control environments, and ITAR compliance.
Responsibilities The Information Systems Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating Information Systems operations for assigned manufacturing facilities. This role oversees the local IT team and ensures the delivery of reliable, secure, and efficient technology services supporting production, engineering, and administrative functions. The IS Manager focuses on infrastructure management, operational reliability, compliance, cybersecurity, and user support—driving continuous improvement and alignment with corporate IT strategies. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Leadership and Oversight • Manage day-to-day IT operations for the location(s), ensuring high system availability, minimal production downtime, and effective prioritization of service requests and projects. • Supervise, mentor, and develop IS team members, including performance management, training, and workload balancing. • Partner with plant and business unit leadership to understand operational priorities and translate them into actionable IS objectives. Infrastructure and Operations Management • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and performance of local infrastructure—including servers, network equipment, end-user devices, and communication systems. • Lead initiatives to modernize and optimize local IT infrastructure, including hardware refresh cycles and security patch management. • Provide application and infrastructure support for the location’s MES environment. Compliance, Security, and Governance • Ensure compliance with corporate, business unit, and audit requirements, including ITAR and cybersecurity policies. • Maintain secure environments by managing access controls, patching, and data protection in alignment with global IS standards. • Support and enforce change management, data governance, and IT documentation policies. Project Management • Plan and execute local IS projects aligned with company strategy and business needs. • Coordinate with regional and global IT teams to implement company-wide initiatives. Process Control and Manufacturing Support • Collaborate with automation engineers to assist in the support of process control and automation infrastructure that interfaces with manufacturing systems. • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure technology stability in production environments. Communication and Collaboration • Serve as the primary IS contact for the facility, facilitating effective communication between business leaders, corporate IT, and external providers. • Promote the strategic direction of the organization by aligning local initiatives with broader IT and business goals. • Participate in local leadership and staff meetings to align technology priorities with operational objectives. Other Responsibilities • Maintain familiarity with new technology trends and evaluate opportunities for improvement. • Comply with all health, safety, and environmental requirements. • Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Institution • 5 years of experience in management information systems • 5 years supervisory experience required. • Ability to occasionally push, pull or lift up to 40 lbs. for work related reasons. • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Preferred Qualifications: • Strong management background supporting teams with remote members and organizations. 4 years of project management skills managing midrange – large projects. • A strong understanding of ERP/MES environments and the workflow associated. • Strong knowledge and technical capabilities in an Infrastructure primarily supporting Microsoft environments, databases and servers. • Understanding for process control environments, robotics, historians and supporting infrastructures. • Skilled at prioritizing and handling multiple objectives, projects for self and members of the team.
