• This is a customer facing presales role that requires you to be located in and make frequent, on-site visits to customers around the Alabama territory. AV Pre Sales Engineer Purpose The purpose of an Audio/Visual Pre Sales Engineer is to provide support and assistance to the sales team specific to his/her territory regarding AV sales. This includes, but is not limited to on-site consultations, customer relations, walk-throughs, quotes, system designs and any other service, which will aid AV sales. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES • Travel territory, as needed, both with and without sales reps for onsite meetings and site surveys. • Increase AV sales in assigned territory. • Create system designs as needed when not meeting with customers • Customer consultations to discuss options for system designs • On-site demonstrations of new technology • Design small to medium systems this will include, Create Build of materials and Scope of work for these projects SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS • Have 4+ years of experience in the commercial AV industry • Must have and maintain understanding of the following: Control systems , Audio systems, Projection and display solution, Matrix mixers/switchers, Soft-Codec Systems • Maintain industry standard certifications – CTS, Crestron, Extron, BiAmp, AMX, Dante, QSC • Knowledge of AV and Architectural drawings • Knowledge of network infrastructure • Have good time management and communication skills • Be able to identify the needs of customers and colleagues and then satisfy them in a timely manner • Be motivated to learn about AV products and services Howard offers as well as new technology • Work well within a team - be able to share ideas, listen to others and be receptive to others’ thoughts • Proficient in MS Office, MS Excel, and general PC based applications BENEFITS • Medical Insurance • Dental Insurance • Disability Insurance • Life Insurance • 401K Retirement • Education Reimbursement • Paid Holidays • Paid Vacations Equal Opportunity Employer Vet/Disabled
