If so, this could be the most rewarding role of your career. At How To Manage A Small Law Firm, we act as the outsourced CEO, COO, CFO, and CMO for 500+ growing small law firms nationwide. You don’t need prior law firm experience — we’ll teach you that. What matters is your ability to lead, analyze, communicate, and help small business owners turn potential into performance. As a Fractional COO, you’ll oversee operations for up to 30 client law firms — interpreting data, spotting inefficiencies, coaching owners, and helping them take the actions that produce results. You’ll work remotely as part of a collaborative “pod” with a CEO, CFO, and CMO, helping clients build thriving, well-run businesses. If This Sounds Like You… THIS COULD BE THE JOB FOR YOU! • Strategic + Tactical Thinker: Build and adapt 18-month growth and operations plans that are practical, measurable, and drive results. • Natural Coach & Accountability Partner: More than a manager — you guide small business owners past mindset blocks, procrastination, and resistance. • Deep Small Business / Legal Ops Experience: At least 5 years leading or advising service-based businesses (law firms, agencies, consultancies, healthcare, etc.). • Creative, Personable, Entrepreneurial: Energized by high-drive entrepreneurs, and know how to “speak lawyer” while keeping it real. • Tech-Savvy & Detail-Oriented: Leave bulletproof notes and documentation — running a relay race, not a solo marathon.
