House of Margot Blair is seeking a vibrant, organized, and energetic Floral Event & Shop Designer to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in the fast-paced events world and enjoys the behind-the-scenes orchestration that makes weddings and small events unforgettable. You’ll manage small weddings and events, handle materials and vendor logistics, coordinate freelancers, and ensure every detail is executed flawlessly. EVENT DESIGN & LOGISTICS • Lead design and execution for small weddings and events. • Take ownership of ordering flowers, hard goods, and materials needed for events. • Coordinate and schedule freelancers, van rentals, and transportation for events. • Manage event timelines, ensuring all vendors and team members are on schedule. • Assist with event setup and strike as needed. SHOP & MATERIAL MANAGEMENT • Weekly flower management, including ordering, processing, and arranging blooms. • Assist with floral workshops as needed. • Organize and maintain the studio, storage, and inventory. • Prepare materials, tools, and containers for floral and event designs. • Process flower and material shipments efficiently. • Ensure all client-facing areas remain polished and presentable. CLEANING & ORGANIZATION • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the studio, coolers, hard goods, and rental inventory. • Assist with post-event teardown and proper storage of materials. • Ensure a safe and efficient workspace for yourself and team members. REQUIREMENTS • Minimum 3 years of experience in event or wedding design (floral or event production). • Highly organized with excellent time management skills. • Ability to lift 20 pounds. • Weekend • Weekend and evening availability required. • Positive, professional, and team-oriented demeanor. DESIRED SKILLS • Experience designing in multiple styles. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt under pressure. • Comfortable taking direction and receiving constructive feedback. • Energetic, proactive, and detail-oriented.
