Job Summary: The Sales Center Purchasing/Inventory/Control/Receiving I Associate works closely with Customer Service, Dealers, and Vendors to ensure products are ordered and received timely to meet scheduled deliveries and installations. This role involves receiving in coming shipments, keeping records of goods received, reporting overages and shortages, and addressing damaged goods. The associate performs cycle counts, resolves inventory variances, and generates reports on inventory balance and shortages. This position follows established procedures with readily available supervision. Sales Center Purchasing/Inventory/Control/Receiving I Associate Responsibilities: Purchasing and Order Management: • Prepare purchase orders for materials and determine if inventory quantities are sufficient for needs. • Respond to inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations in a timely manner to keep stock rotating with no outages. • Maintain needed inventory stock levels in the computer as well as current costs from all vendors. Receiving and Inventory Management: • Perform receiving of products from the manufacturing plant and outside vendors. • Work with the Warehouse Lead to ensure all purchased inventory is put in its proper location in the Sales Center. • Perform daily cycle counts of designated products. • Track and report non-conforming products to the appropriate department or company. • Identify and record any issues relating to quality or damaged and unsellable items. • Coordinate and integrate efforts across operations to enhance inventory accuracy. • Develop and implement processes to limit inventory variances. • Ensure delivery loads are organized and accurate. • Prepare and participate in yearly physical inventory. Reporting and Record Keeping: • Keep records of goods received, report overages and shortages, and report damaged goods. • Post totals to inventory records in the computer. • Generate reports on inventory balance and shortages.
