Role Overview: As the Sr Software Engineering Manager for HTS Media, you will lead a talented engineering team responsible for building scalable advertising and media platforms. Your role is pivotal in driving technical excellence, fostering innovation, and delivering high-impact solutions that support Hopper’s growth and the success of our partners. What You'll Do: - You will lead and mentor a team of software engineers, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. - You will oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable media and advertising technologies. - You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliverables. - You will ensure the reliability, performance, and security of HTS Media platforms. - You will drive the adoption of best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and automation. - You will manage project timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation to meet business objectives. - You will stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to keep HTS Media at the forefront of innovation. - You will contribute to strategic planning and decision-making to align engineering efforts with company goals. What You Bring: - 7+ years of experience in software engineering with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role. - Strong expertise in scalable web technologies, cloud platforms, and microservices architecture. - Proven track record of delivering complex software projects on time and within budget. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead cross-functional teams effectively. - Experience with agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in the travel or advertising technology industry. - Familiarity with data analytics, machine learning, or AI-driven media solutions. - Background in remote team management and distributed workforce collaboration. - Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in tech communities.
