Role Overview: As the Sr Software Engineering Manager for HTS Media, you will lead a talented engineering team responsible for building scalable advertising and media platforms. Your role is pivotal in driving technical excellence, fostering innovation, and delivering high-impact solutions that support Hopper’s growth and the success of our partners. What You'll Do: - You will lead and mentor a team of software engineers, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. - You will oversee the design, development, and deployment of robust media and advertising technologies. - You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to align engineering efforts with business goals. - You will implement best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and CI/CD pipelines. - You will manage project timelines, resource allocation, and risk to ensure successful delivery. - You will drive innovation by evaluating new technologies and integrating them into the product roadmap. - You will foster a high-performance engineering culture focused on quality, scalability, and reliability. - You will contribute to strategic planning and decision-making at the leadership level. What You Bring: - 7+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role. - Strong expertise in backend development, cloud infrastructure, and scalable system design. - Proficiency with programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go. - Experience with advertising technology platforms or media-related software is highly desirable. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead cross-functional teams. - Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in the travel or advertising industry. - Familiarity with data analytics and machine learning applications in media. - Knowledge of frontend technologies and user experience considerations. - Prior experience in a fully remote leadership role.
