POSITION SUMMARY The Park Director is the strategic and operational leader of the community art park and technology center, responsible for the day-to-day operations and long-term vision of the venue. This role requires a hands-on leader with a deep appreciation for culture, art, hospitality, and community. You will oversee department heads across food & beverage, retail, events, facilities, and tenant relations, ensuring that all aspects of the park operate seamlessly and reflect the park’s creative ethos and business goals. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership & Strategy • Provide visionary and operational leadership to all departments within the park • Act as the public-facing ambassador of the park, cultivating relationships with artists, tenants, sponsors, and the broader community • Develop and implement strategies that drive attendance, profitability, community engagement, and operational excellence Operations Oversight • Manage daily operations across all departments including F&B (bar and coffee), retail (gift shop and art supply store), events, and tenant spaces • Supervise department heads and ensure cross-departmental coordination • Implement and monitor SOPs, safety protocols, scheduling systems, and service standards Team Management • Recruit, mentor, and manage department leads (Bar Manager, Retail Manager, Events Coordinator, Facilities Manager, etc.) • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work culture that encourages creativity and accountability • Conduct regular performance reviews and lead weekly team meetings Tenant & Vendor Relations • Maintain positive relationships with small business tenants and ensure lease and licensing compliance • Work with external partners and vendors to support daily operations, pop-ups, and events Facilities & Maintenance • Coordinate with the Facilities and Maintenance Lead to ensure the park is safe, clean, functional, and visually aligned with the creative vision • Oversee capital improvements, repair needs, and preventative maintenance planning Financial Management • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and P&L oversightApprove expenditures and track KPIs for revenue streams across bar, retail, events, and leasing Programming & Events • Collaborate with marketing and events staff to plan, approve, and execute on-brand events, exhibitions, and public programs • Ensure that all park activities align with the mission and brand identity QUALIFICATIONS • 5+ years in operations management, preferably within hospitality, entertainment, cultural institutions, or public spaces • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams • Strong knowledge of bar and coffee service operations • Experience managing leases, vendor agreements, and tenant communications • Comfort in working with artists, creatives, and diverse communities • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Arts Management, or related field (preferred but not required) WHAT WE OFFER • Competitive salary and benefits • Health & wellness stipend • A front-row seat to Austin’s creative culture • Opportunities for growth and creative input • A workplace that values individuality, art, and inclusivity Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director to lead our team in a vibrant nightclub environment. Skills • Proven leadership experience in a nightclub or similar hospitality setting. • Strong background in events management with the ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously. • Excellent report writing skills for documenting operational performance and guest feedback. • Effective management skills with experience supervising teams in high-pressure environments. • Exceptional customer service abilities, focusing on enhancing guest experiences through attentive service. • Proficient in shift management practices to ensure optimal staffing levels during peak hours. • Experience in cash handling procedures with a strong attention to detail. • Background in restaurant operations or resort management is highly desirable. • Previous assistant manager experience is an asset, showcasing readiness for higher responsibilities.
