WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR Hood Container Corporation is seeking a Machine Operator to run our Bobst Mastercut flatbed die-cutting machine on 3rd shift at our Chicago, IL facility. If you have corrugated industry experience, are mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced production environment, we’d love to have you on our team! The starting wage is $25.00 – $29.00 per hour, based on experience + Shift Differential ---------------------------------------- WHAT YOU’LL DO * Operate the Bobst Mastercut flatbed die-cutter safely and efficiently to meet daily production goals. * Set up, adjust, and monitor the die-cutting process according to job specifications. * Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure accuracy and conformance with customer requirements. * Troubleshoot and correct minor mechanical issues with minimal downtime. * Communicate machine performance issues to maintenance or supervision as needed. * Complete production and quality documentation accurately and on time. * Assist in changeovers and clean-up to maintain machine efficiency and product quality. * Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with company safety policies. ---------------------------------------- WHAT YOU BRING Education & Experience: * High school diploma or GED required. * 1–2 years of machine operator experience in a corrugated manufacturing environment preferred. * Experience operating flatbed die-cutting equipment (Bobst preferred) is a strong plus. Technical Skills: * Ability to read work orders, blueprints, and use measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.). * Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. * Familiarity with basic computer systems and data entry for production tracking.
