Currently, we are looking for an Power Platform & Business Intelligence Analyst in our Detroit, Michigan office. In addition to our Corporate Detroit office, we have offices in Grand Rapids, Bloomfield Hills, Kalamazoo, and Washington D.C. SUMMARY The Power Platform & Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for administering the Microsoft Power Platform environment. This includes managing environments, overseeing data policies and security, monitoring usage and performance, and ensuring compliance with governance standards. The Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert on Power Platform administration, supporting scalability and sustainability of solutions across the firm. In addition to platform administration, this role will be designing, developing, and maintaining solutions using Microsoft Power BI and Power Apps to support data-driven decision-making and process automation across the firm. RESPONSIBILITIES • Administer Power Platform environments, including Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse. • Monitor platform usage, performance, and licensing to ensure optimal resource allocation. • Implement governance policies and data loss prevention (DLP) strategies across Power Platform solutions. • Manage user roles, permissions, and access controls within Power Platform environments. • Collaborate with IT leadership to define and enforce best practices for platform administration and lifecycle management. • Troubleshoot platform-level issues and coordinate with Microsoft support as needed. • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics. • Design, build, and deploy custom business applications using Power Apps to streamline workflows and improve productivity. • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments (Finance, HR, Practice Groups, etc.) to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. • Integrate Power Apps with other Microsoft 365 tools (SharePoint, Teams, Outlook) and external data sources. • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security in all reporting and application solutions. • Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI and Power Apps functionality. • Stay current with Microsoft platform updates and recommend enhancements to existing solutions. QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 3+ years of experience with Power BI including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling. • 2+ years of experience with Power Apps, including Canvas and Model-Driven Apps. • Experience in a law firm or professional services environment is a plus. • Experience with Microsoft Dataverse, Power Automate, and SharePoint Online. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be persuasive and clear and demonstrate active listening skills. • Experience with Power Platform Admin Center and environment lifecycle management. • Knowledge of licensing models and capacity planning for Power Platform. • Familiarity with Microsoft security and compliance tools related to Power Platform. • Familiarity with SQL, Azure services, and Microsoft Dynamics. • Understanding of legal billing systems, document management systems, or CRM platforms. • Experience with governance and compliance in data reporting. • Understanding of legal operations, data visualization, and low-code/no-code application development. • Ability to work well with multiple deadlines and demonstrate innovative problem solving and prioritization skills. Must be able to multi-task and have strong attention to detail. Pay Range and Compensation Package Honigman provides a generous total compensation package, which includes comprehensive health and well-being benefits, as well as 401k and profit sharing. The anticipated annual pay range for this role is $100,000 to $135,000 (exempt). The actual offered pay rate will be determined based on various factors, including qualifications, experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and internal equity considerations.
