Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving and a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients. This role requires a blend of personal care skills, patience, and the ability to work with diverse populations, including seniors and individuals with disabilities. Responsibilities • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. • Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being. • Monitor and document vital signs and changes in clients' health status. • Prepare meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary needs. • Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. • Administer medications as prescribed and assist with care plans. • Support clients with mobility needs, including the use of assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts. • Engage clients in social activities and promote community involvement. • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding patient information. Qualifications • Previous experience in home health, assisted living, or long-term care settings is preferred. • Familiarity with patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs. • Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable. • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's care, dementia care, or autism is a plus. • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs. • Understanding of care plans and medication administration protocols. • A compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
