About Homewood Brewing Company Opened in October 2024, Homewood Brewing Company (HBC) is a thriving brewpub located in the heart of Homewood, IL. With an 18,000+ square foot facility featuring a full-service restaurant, in-house brewery, rooftop garden, outdoor patios, and a vibrant event space, we’ve quickly become a cornerstone of the community. Guided by a farm-to-table ethos and a commitment to locally sourced ingredients, our mission is to deliver joyful, high-quality experiences to every guest we serve. Position Overview HBC is seeking an energetic, creative, and highly organized Events Coordinator to lead all aspects of our private, public, and community events. This role is responsible for designing, coordinating, and executing memorable experiences that reflect our brand and strengthen connections with our community. The ideal candidate thrives at building relationships, managing complex details, and bringing ideas to life in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment. They remain calm, adaptable, and friendly under pressure, and are passionate about creating meaningful connections, both inside the brewpub and beyond. Key Responsibilities Event Strategy • Act as the central point of contact for all internal and external event-related needs. • Collaborate with leadership to design event offerings that align with customer expectations and broader business goals. • Ensure clear and consistent communication across HBC functions (Corporate, Brewery, Front of House, and Back of House) regarding event initiatives. • Support the creation and distribution of internal updates, press releases, and announcements related to events. • Maintain and manage event calendars to coordinate activities, deadlines, and priorities across all teams. Private Events • Serve as the primary contact for all private event inquiries—from initial booking and planning to event execution and post-event follow-up. • Coordinate logistics including client communication, vendor scheduling, setup, staffing, and day-of execution. • Maintain and update event packages, pricing, and promotional materials in collaboration with leadership. • Track event performance and identify opportunities for improvement and growth. Public Brewpub Events • Plan and coordinate Brewpub events such as trivia, live music, holiday parties, beer releases, and special promotions. • Partner with local vendors, entertainers, and community partners to keep events fresh, on-brand, and engaging. • Work closely with the Front-of-House team to ensure smooth setup, execution, and guest satisfaction. • Develop event concepts that align with the brand’s personality and customer interests. Community Engagement & Off-Site Events • Represent Homewood Brewing Company at festivals, fundraisers, and community events as a positive, professional brand ambassador. • Coordinate logistics for off-site activations, including permitting, staffing, and product transportation. • Build partnerships with local businesses, charities, and organizations to strengthen community ties and expand HBC’s reach. Qualifications • 2+ years of experience in event planning, marketing, hospitality, or a related field. • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. • Outgoing, creative, and confident engaging with guests, vendors, and community partners. • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets) and the Microsoft Office Suite. • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required for events. • Experience in a brewery, bar, restaurant, or entertainment venue is a plus.
