Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistance, current Kentucky OTA licensure, at least 1 year pediatric experience, and familiarity with pediatric medical equipment.
We are looking for a compassionate, flexible, and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (PRN) to join our therapy team at Home of the Innocents. A Day in the Life As a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will provide high-quality, safety-focused therapy services based on the needs of the KCC. You will work collaboratively with the Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary team to ensure each resident receives appropriate and timely therapy support. How This Position Contributes to Our Mission • Ensures residents receive safe, effective therapy services during times of fluctuating therapeutic needs or staffing gaps. • Strengthens the care team by providing flexible, high-quality clinical support when needed. • Enhances family communication and trust by offering clear and compassionate updates during assigned shifts. • Reinforces trauma-informed, resident-centered care across the KCPCC. • Helps maintain safety, functional support, and developmental progress for medically complex children and young adults. Skills and Qualifications • Associate of Applied Science degree with successful completion of an Occupational Therapy Assistant program required. • Current board certification and active Kentucky OTA licensure required. • At least 1 year of pediatric experience, including clinical rotation experience, required. • Experience with pediatric tracheostomies, ventilators, assistive technology, and children with multiple disabilities highly preferred. • Basic computer proficiency. • Strong communication skills with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. • Ability to interact with children, families, and team members with dignity and professionalism. • High integrity and commitment to providing excellent customer service.
