The DC Area Supervisor plays a vital role in leading distribution center operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and productivity across the team. This role directly impacts company goals by managing daily processes, coaching associates, and driving results within the distribution environment. Role and Responsibilities: As a DC Area Supervisor, you will lead an hourly team of 20 to 30 associates while ensuring prompt, efficient, and accurate handling of merchandise. You will manage operations, coach and develop team members, and support business planning to achieve performance goals. • Ensure all operations procedures are followed effectively and recommend process improvements. • Evaluate and analyze work methods to identify and eliminate inefficiencies. • Guide associates in daily operations to maintain high levels of productivity, safety, service, and quality. • Provide training, coaching, feedback, and regular evaluations for hourly associates. • Resolve associate relations issues, and manage hiring, compensation, discipline, and terminations. • Investigate operational errors and recommend corrective actions. • Maintain inventory accuracy and review reports to identify improvement areas for productivity, accuracy, and quality. • Coordinate and monitor operations to align with business plans and staffing needs. • Perform other duties as assigned by Operations leadership. Required Skills and Experience: • Must be at least eighteen years of age and legally permitted to work in the United States. • High school diploma or GED required. • Minimum of 2 years of work experience. • Flexibility to work various shifts and ability to relocate. Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree. • Computer skills in Microsoft Office. • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems. • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a related field.
