Job Title: Director, Industrial Engineering Department: Advanced Manufacturing Engineering / Operations Position Summary: The Director of Industrial Engineering is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and operational processes, with a strong emphasis on Lean methodologies, cost reduction, quality improvement, and productivity gains. This role also plays a critical partner role for onboarding newly acquired businesses (M&A) by assessing operations, standardizing processes, integrating systems, and accelerating performance improvement post-acquisition. The ideal candidate combines strong industrial engineering fundamentals with hands-on Lean leadership and the ability to work cross-functionally in fast-paced, change-driven environments. This position will also work directly with the BOM Leader, Product Managers, and Site Leaders to drive cost structure & cost improvement within our BOM System. Current State and Future State VSM will be strategic and critical. Key Responsibilities Strategic Lean & Continuous Improvement * Lead and facilitate Lean initiatives including Kaizen events, value stream mapping, 5S, standard work, visual management, and waste elimination * Analyze manufacturing and business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities * Develop and implement process improvements that improve safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, cost & morale (SQDIP + CM) * Establish and track KPIs to measure CI effectiveness and sustain gains * Coach and train plant leadership and frontline teams in Lean principles and problem-solving methods * Support cultural transformation toward continuous improvement and operational excellence Industrial Engineering * Perform time studies, line balancing, capacity analysis, and labor optimization * Design and improve manufacturing layouts, workflows, and material flow * Support new product introductions and process changes from an IE and Lean perspective * Develop standard work, work instructions, and process documentation * Utilize data analysis tools to support decision-making and improvement initiatives M&A Onboarding & Integration Support * Lead operational assessments of newly acquired facilities during post-acquisition onboarding * Evaluate current-state processes, organizational structures, KPIs, and systems * Develop and execute integration roadmaps aligned with company operating standards * Standardize Lean practices, metrics, and reporting across acquired sites * Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, IT, Finance, HR) to ensure smooth integration * Identify quick wins and longer-term opportunities to accelerate value capture from acquisitions * Support change management and cultural alignment in acquired organizations Cross-Functional Collaboration * Work closely with plant managers, supervisors, engineers, and corporate teams * Serve as a change agent and trusted advisor to operations leadership * Support enterprise-wide operational excellence initiatives and best practice sharing Success Metrics * Sustained improvements in safety, quality, delivery and cost * Successful onboarding and stabilization of acquired operations * Adoption of standardized Lean practices across sites * Engagement capability growth of operational teams * Measurable ROI from integration initiatives.
