Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly qualified Certified Substance Use Counselor with the background, leadership skills, and clinical expertise to serve as both Program Director and Counselor for our Intensive Outpatient Program. The ideal candidate will oversee program operations, ensure clinical excellence, maintain compliance with DHCS and Joint Commission standards, provide group and individual counseling, support staff development, and uphold the highest standards of client care. Duties • Serve as the Program Director overseeing daily clinical and operational functions • Provide individual and group counseling to clients in the IOP • Ensure compliance with DHCS, Joint Commission, and state requirements • Monitor and maintain accurate treatment plans, progress notes, and reporting • Oversee staff training, onboarding, & performance feedback • Participate in audits, inspections, and quality assurance initiatives • Uphold confidentiality and HIPAA standards • Support program development and continuous improvement • Represent the program professionally with referring partners and families • Participate in case management, client support, and treatment planning meetings • Maintain a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, client-centered environment Skills • Minimum 5 years of counseling experience in substance use treatment • Experience working with KIPU EMR • Strong knowledge of DHCS regulations (California Department of Health Care Services) • Experience with Joint Commission accreditation standards • Prior leadership or supervisory experience highly preferred • Ability to oversee program operations, documentation, and quality of care • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information • Compassionate, patient, and client-focused care philosophy • Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams • Strong organizational and time-management skills • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Must be reliable, professional, and consistent with attendance Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year Benefits: • Health insurance Work Location: In person
