An Attorney at Hogan Lovells provides high-level legal support to partners, counsel, and associates, contributing to the firm’s success through research, drafting, and case management. Candidates are expected to uphold the firm’s reputation for excellence, integrity, and responsiveness. Our Attorneys are embedded in Hogan’s practice groups; this position is to join the Investigations, White Collar and Fraud/Litigation group. In addition, our Attorneys have the benefit of a dedicated Attorney Manager to support them, including with work allocation. This role is ideal for experienced attorneys who seek to focus on substantive legal work without the demands of generating business or pursuing partnership. This is a non-partner track position. Key Responsibilities Discovery Support: Oversee and participate in document review projects, including e-discovery, privilege reviews, and production tasks Manage document and second level review teams Case and Matter Management: Assist with managing case files, organizing evidence, and coordinating with clients, witnesses, and experts. Track case progress and maintain accurate documentation Collaboration: Work closely with partners, associates, and paralegals to ensure efficient and effective legal service delivery Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough legal research using various databases and resources. Analyze statutes, regulations, case law, and legal precedents to support litigation and transactional matters Drafting Documents: Prepare, review, and revise a wide range of legal documents, including memoranda, briefs, pleadings, contracts, and discovery materials Client Communication: Draft client correspondence and assist with responding to client inquiries Compliance: Ensure all legal work complies with applicable laws, firm policies, and ethical standards Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA accredited law school Admission to the state bar and good standing in the state of practice 1-3+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a large law firm environment Expertise in Relativity and knowledge of various applications of legal technology Proficiency with legal research platforms (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) Experience with project and vendor management Knowledge of e-discovery process, especially document review and production Strong research, writing, communication, and analytical skills Excellent organizational and time management abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting Preferred Attributes Experience with complex litigation or transactional matters Familiarity with large-scale document review and case management systems Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Work Environment Fulltime Attorneys have an annual expectation of 1800 billable hours and are required to be in the office four days a week. This role involves interaction with clients, courts, co-counsel and opposing counsel, and requires strict adherence to confidentiality and professional ethics. The expected base salary range for this role is $120K to $150K per year. This range reflects a good-faith estimate of pay at the time of posting; the actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as the candidate’s qualifications. This position is eligible for additional forms of compensation, which may include annual performance bonuses and discretionary bonuses. Employees in this role are also eligible for benefits offered by the firm, subject to applicable plan terms and conditions, which currently include medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) retirement plan; and paid time off.
