Description Summary This role is for our Contract + Trade business unit representing METROFLOR products. Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for driving growth and building strong partnerships? Metroflor is seeking an enthusiastic District Sales Manager (DSM) to spearhead our growth initiatives in the Western Region. You'll be instrumental in cultivating strong relationships with wholesale distributors, key retailers, commercial contractors, and targeted end users. Your mission will be to drive significant and profitable revenue growth, while strategically elevating the Metroflor brand throughout the territory. Here's What You’ll Do • Strategic Territory Management: Develop and implement strategic sales budgets and customer territory lists for each sales representative within the district to maximize market penetration. • Cultivate Key Relationships: Proactively build and nurture strong, lasting relationships with key wholesale distributors, retailers, commercial contractors, and targeted end users across the Western Region. • Data-Driven Market Strategy: Analyze market sales reports to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, and effectively manage sales and distribution strategies within your designated territory. • Collaborative Sales Enablement: Partner closely with the Distributor Product Manager and sales personnel to co-develop key customer relationships and implement effective regional sales strategies. • Project Leadership: Plan, coordinate, and oversee sales activities for assigned projects, ensuring successful execution and achievement of targets. • Drive Product Adoption: Spearhead the introduction and successful implementation of new Metroflor products and product categories into the distribution network. • Analyze and Optimize Performance: Critically analyze sales performance data and proactively recommend and implement improvements to drive revenue growth and efficiency. • Develop and Execute Sales Initiatives: Create and implement impactful sales campaigns and promotional programs to significantly boost sales and revenue within the region. • Empower the Sales Team: Provide strong leadership, coaching, and mentorship to the sales team, enabling them to effectively develop their territories, drive sales through account growth, and acquire new business. • Ensure Effective Communication: Execute and thoroughly document quarterly sales meetings with distributor partners, ensuring clear communication and alignment on goals and strategies. What You’ll Bring • 3-5 years of experience in a progressive sales management position, demonstrating strong leadership and the ability to develop sales teams. • 2-3 years of direct field sales experience, building strong customer relationships and driving sales growth. Skills • Exceptional Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to communicate clearly (both verbally and written), build rapport, and establish trust with a diverse range of stakeholders. • Strategic and Analytical Thinker: Ability to seek and critically evaluate market information, develop effective sales strategies, and analyze sales performance to drive improvements. • Strong Leadership and Coaching Abilities: Demonstrated success in mentoring and developing sales teams, fostering a collaborative environment, and inspiring others to achieve results. • Results-Oriented with a Focus on Accountability: A track record of holding oneself and others responsible for performance and driving profitable revenue growth. • Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of financial concepts, including pricing and forecasting, to make informed business decisions. • Technical Proficiency: Computer literacy, including experience with CRM systems, internet navigation, and the MS Office Suite. • Adaptability and Change Management: Ability to recognize the need for change and lead purposeful adaptations within the sales organization. Working Conditions • Schedule: Standard hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm EST. Some flexibility may be required to attend occasional evening meetings, conference calls, or contribute additional work input outside of core hours. • Work environment: Remote. • Travel: Consistently travels the territory to develop relationships and sales. 50% overnight travel required. • Physical Demands: Mostly sedentary. Use of repetitive hand and wrist motions. Must be able to maintain proper posture. Must be able to lift, pull, or maneuver up to 50lb. The salary range for this role is $100K to $120K a year and a yearly bonus potential. This range is applicable for jobs performed in the Eastern and Central Time Zones. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, and business organizational needs.
