The Production Lead Operator 2nd Shift is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This role acts as a liaison between production staff and management, providing leadership, training, and support to team members while maintaining quality and productivity standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Lead and coordinate production line activities to meet daily targets and schedules. • Monitor equipment and processes to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. • Train, mentor, and support production team members to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. • Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot equipment issues as needed. • Maintain accurate production records, including shift reports, downtime logs, and quality checks. • Collaborate with maintenance, quality assurance, and logistics teams to resolve issues and improve processes. • Enforce company policies and safety regulations on the production floor. • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements. • Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification preferred. • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 1 year in a leadership role preferred. • Strong understanding of production machinery, tools, and safety protocols. • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. • Proficient in using production software and Microsoft Office Suite.· Desired Skills and Qualifications: • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma knowledge. • Experience with ERP systems. Physical Requirements: • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods. • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
