The Senior Data Intelligence Solutions Architect will lead technical pre-sales engagements, architecting data intelligence solutions that align with customer needs and driving sustainable growth through collaboration. Responsibilities • Serve as the primary technical leader and strategist for assigned accounts and territory across all pre-sales engagements • Partner with Sales to develop and execute account strategies that align technical solutions with client business outcomes • Lead customer discovery sessions to identify technical, operational, and business challenges and requirements • Architect creative, scalable, and high-value data intelligence solutions leveraging the full Hitachi portfolio, with a focus on software, data platforms, analytics, AI infrastructure, IoT, and high-performance workloads • Design and deliver presentations, demonstrations, whiteboards, and technical workshops that clearly communicate solution value and impact • Develop architecture, sizing models, configurations, proposals, and quotations to support customer opportunities • Act as a trusted advisor to customers by building strong relationships and engaging with senior technical and business decision-makers • Provide field insights and feedback to Product Management to inform portfolio enhancements and market-driven improvements • Ensure consistency and compliance with pre-sales processes, tools, and best practices • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive solutions to inform strategy and solution positioning • Collaborate across internal teams (Sales, Services, Engineering, Product, Partners) to deliver cohesive and optimized solutions • Support and mentor other Solution Consultants as needed to strengthen team capability • Contribute to the creation and delivery of Hitachi Federal vision and strategy messaging to customers Skills • 10+ years of experience in the Information Technology industry • 5+ years in a solutions consulting or pre-sales role supporting enterprise or federal clients • Strong expertise in data intelligence and data-centric solutions, including: Data storage (block, file, object), Data analytics platforms and architectures, AI / ML infrastructure and workloads, High-performance computing environments, Business continuity, backup, and disaster recovery, SAN, LAN/WAN concepts and enterprise networking • Experience architecting solutions for complex, multi-stakeholder environments • Proven ability to conduct customer discovery, requirements gathering, and solution design • Demonstrated experience engaging senior technical and business decision-makers • Strong understanding of enterprise platforms such as ERP, CRM, data lakes, and data pipelines • Ability to develop clear, well-structured proposals, technical designs, and business cases • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills • Demonstrated ability to operate independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize in complex environments • Willingness and ability to travel as required for customer engagements • Experience working in Federal, Defense, or Public Sector environments • Familiarity with government contracting processes and Federal sales cycles • Hands-on experience with Hitachi Vantara technologies or similar enterprise data platforms • Working knowledge of AI/ML frameworks, analytics platforms, or data orchestration tools • Experience with cloud, hybrid, and edge architectures • Relevant certifications such as: Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), Storage / data platform certifications, Architecture (TOGAF, SAFe, etc.), Security (Security+, CISSP – plus) • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) • Preference for candidates located/based in the East Coast Benefits • Opportunity to work on industry-leading mission centric technologies. • A collaborative and inclusive workplace culture. • Professional development opportunities. • Competitive salary and benefits packages. • We help take care of your today and tomorrow with industry-leading benefits, support, and services that look after your holistic health and wellbeing. • We’re also champions of life balance and offer flexible arrangements that work for you (role and location dependent).
