We’re looking for an Accounting Manager who loves solving problems, improving processes, and turning complexity into clarity. Qualifications What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Public accounting experience is required (minimum 2+ years). This role relies on the technical rigor, ownership mindset, and judgment developed in public accounting. 7+ years of total accounting experience, spanning public accounting and/or industry. CPA strongly preferred, but not required. Big Four experience preferred, but not required. Strong operational accounting experience and comfort working in evolving environments. Solid knowledge of GAAP, tax, and financial reporting. Experience with modern accounting systems (NetSuite a strong plus). Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS). Clear communicator with a mindset for continuous improvement. Comfortable building processes where none exist—and refining them as the business scales. You’ll own the month-end close, influence how our finance function operates, and help shape the next phase of a growing SaaS company—without excessive hierarchy or people management. This role is intentionally designed to work well for: An ambitious accounting professional with a few years of experience who wants broader exposure, ownership, and a seat closer to decision-making, or A deeply experienced accountant who enjoys hands-on work and impact but doesn’t want a role overloaded with management complexity or constant fire drills. If you’re someone who values clarity, accountability, and doing things right, you’ll find this role both grounding and energizing. What You’ll Own Lead core accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and GAAP compliance. Review sales orders and assess revenue recognition and taxability. Prepare and analyze the trial balance and monthly financial reporting package. Manage global tax and regulatory compliance, including VAT, withholding, and statutory audits. Serve as a technical accounting resource—reviewing work, answering questions, and raising the bar for quality. Partner closely with FP&A to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting and variance analysis. Identify and implement process improvements that make the function scalable and efficient. Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as the business evolves. The Bottom Line If you have public accounting experience, strong technical fundamentals, and either: the ambition to grow quickly through ownership, or the experience to contribute at a high level without wanting excess responsibility, this role offers the best of both worlds. This role is not the right fit if: You are early in your accounting career and have not yet developed a strong technical foundation through public accounting experience. You are looking for a role that is purely strategic with minimal hands-on execution—this position is deeply involved in the day-to-day accounting work. You prefer highly structured environments with established processes and detailed playbooks already in place. You are seeking a role with heavy people management or a large direct-report team. You are uncomfortable working in environments where priorities evolve, judgment is required, and solutions aren’t always obvious. You are looking for a narrow, repetitive scope rather than broad ownership across the close, reporting, and compliance. The individual in this role must be able to work from home in an environment free from distractions, where they can attend virtual video meetings.
