Full Description

Vice President, Marketing Strategy & Transformation Remote (Eastern, Central or Mountain Time Preferred) The Opportunity Our client is a rapidly growing, private equity-backed consumer marketplace that is transforming how customers discover, book and experience travel. As the business enters its next phase of growth, the company is investing heavily in building a world-class marketing organization focused on increasing direct customer engagement, accelerating digital growth and leveraging technology to create a best-in-class customer experience. Reporting directly to the EVP of Revenue & Marketing, this newly created leadership role will serve as the strategic partner responsible for building the operating engine behind the company's marketing function. You'll work alongside senior leaders across Revenue, Technology, Product, Finance and Operations to turn ambitious growth initiatives into measurable business outcomes. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex business problems, building structure in fast-moving environments and leading transformational initiatives from concept through execution. Key Responsibilities • Define and execute the marketing strategic roadmap in alignment with the company's growth objectives. • Lead enterprise-wide initiatives spanning digital marketing, customer acquisition, CRM, loyalty, website optimization, and customer experience. • Establish and manage the marketing operating rhythm, including quarterly planning, KPI tracking, executive updates, and performance reviews. • Partner with Technology and Data teams to enhance the marketing technology ecosystem, analytics capabilities, and AI-powered marketing solutions. • Identify and implement initiatives that improve customer acquisition, conversion, retention, and lifetime value. • Design scalable processes and operating models that enable marketing teams to execute efficiently as the business continues to grow. • Develop executive- and board-level reporting that communicates marketing performance, strategic progress, and business impact. • Collaborate across functions to drive alignment, remove execution barriers, and ensure strategic initiatives are delivered successfully and on schedule. • Contribute to the long-term marketing vision while remaining actively involved in delivering high-impact initiatives. What We're Looking For We're looking for a strategic operator who enjoys building new capabilities, solving complex business challenges, and driving change in fast-paced, collaborative environments. You are equally comfortable developing strategy and leading execution across multiple stakeholders. Qualifications • 8+ years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, business transformation, growth strategy, marketing strategy, strategic operations, or a Chief of Staff-style leadership role. • Proven track record of leading complex cross-functional initiatives from concept through implementation. • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn insights into actionable business strategies. • Experience supporting digital marketing, customer acquisition, growth, or customer lifecycle initiatives. • Working knowledge of CRM platforms, marketing technology, analytics, and AI-enabled marketing tools. • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders. • Experience within private equity-backed, high-growth, or rapidly scaling organizations is highly desirable. Ideal Background Candidates may have experience at leading consulting firms such as Bain & Company, McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), EY-Parthenon, Deloitte, or Accenture. We also welcome professionals from strategy, transformation, or growth leadership roles within digitally driven B2C businesses, consumer technology companies, marketplaces, hospitality, travel, or other fast-growing consumer-focused organizations. Industry-specific experience is not required. Why Join Us? This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of a rapidly growing organization. You'll partner closely with executive leadership to build a modern, data-driven marketing function powered by technology and AI. If you're motivated by creating scalable solutions, leading transformational initiatives, and delivering meaningful business impact, we'd love to hear from you.
