Job Title Founding Full-Stack Engineer (AI Healthcare Simulations) Role Overview This is a rare opportunity to join a stealth-mode healthtech startup at the earliest stage as a founding engineer. The team is building AI-powered patient simulations that modernize how clinicians and healthcare students train—delivering scalable, adaptive alternatives to traditional clinical learning. With adoption already underway across 30+ educational institutions and commercial partnerships signed, you’ll play a hands-on role in shaping both the technology and the future of clinical training. Compensation: $90,000 – $180,000 base salary + 0.50% – 2.00% equity Key Responsibilities • Build and ship new features end-to-end, from concept through deployment. • Architect agent-based AI flows that simulate real-world medical scenarios and provide adaptive feedback. • Own the tech stack (Next.js, Node.js, Supabase, AWS) to deliver performant, production-ready systems. • Collaborate closely with the founding team to shape technical decisions and strategic product direction. • Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate based on user feedback to improve training outcomes. Education & Qualifications • 1+ years of full-stack software development experience • Proficiency with: • Front-end: Next.js • Back-end: Node.js • Database: Supabase (PostgreSQL) • Cloud: AWS • Ability to design, implement, and ship production-grade systems • Strong communication and collaboration skills Preferred Experience • Early-stage startup or founding team experience • Familiarity with AI agent orchestration and LLM-powered applications • Background in healthcare, medtech, or edtech products • Experience bringing a product from 0→1 Why Us • Real-world impact: Your work directly supports clinicians, nurses, and med students in building practical skills before they work with patients. • High visibility: Partner directly with the founders—your code will define the product’s core experiences. • Early traction: Already in use at dozens of institutions, with significant commercial contracts secured. • Ownership & upside: Competitive salary plus meaningful equity in a mission-driven, high-growth startup. • Flexibility: Remote for the first 1–2 months, then hybrid/on-site in New York City.
