About the Role: We’re seeking an experienced, self-sufficient Senior Backend Engineer to join our global team in the Centaur Pod. In this role, you’ll have the freedom to architect solutions while contributing directly to our live healthcare cloud platform. You’ll work on feature development, system architecture, and possibly even ML- and AI-driven integrations to keep our product at the forefront of the industry. Key Responsibilities: Feature development: Design, build, and maintain new platform features in collaboration with product and engineering teams. Codebase ownership: Deliver clean, reliable code through bug fixes, testing, and peer reviews. System architecture: Architect and refine scalable backend solutions. Cross-functional projects: Contribute to side projects that increase product versatility and client value. Collaboration: Communicate clearly and effectively with our international team. What You Bring: 1) Hard Skills: 5+ years of Back-End development experience, with strong proficiency in Python. Experience building RESTful APIs (preference to FastAPI / Pydantic). Hands-on expertise with deploying applications to AWS. Experience with setting up integrations with third-party API and services, handling rate limiting, error handling, and data transformation. Experience with monitoring and logging tools for production systems. Experience with infrastructure management (ex. Terraform) Familiarity with Airflow. Bonus: Experience integrating Machine Learning / AI models into back-end systems. Bonus: Knowledge of Insurance. 2) Soft Skills: Initiative & Independence: Comfortable working autonomously and driving projects forward. Accountability: Strong sense of ownership and responsibility for outcomes. Communication: Fluency in English, with the ability to collaborate in a distributed, global team.
