The Role at a Glance Oversees daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient workflow, safety, and minimal claims. Supervises warehouse staff and coordinates with drivers, operations, and sales teams. Maintains accurate inventory, storage records, and facility upkeep. How You’ll Contribute You will be responsible for overseeing the efficient flow of shipments in and out of the warehouse, ensuring accuracy, safety, and profitability. You’ll lead the team working in and around the warehouse. Your role includes managing storage records, processing paperwork, and maintaining daily operations to keep everything running smoothly. You’ll plan and assign tasks based on your team’s strengths, ensure proper loading procedures are followed to minimize claims, and maintain a safe, clean facility. This includes keeping supplies stocked and managing maintenance of the sprinkler system and surrounding grounds. You'll work closely with drivers, movers, packers, and internal departments like operations and sales to support seamless collaboration across teams. Proficiency in warehouse systems is key. You’ll ensure staff are trained and consistently using these tools for accurate inventory and shipment tracking. You'll also be responsible for generating monthly reports on warehouse performance, including tracking tonnage and comparing results to previous periods. While much of your time will be spent in an office, regular oversight of warehouse and yard operations is a core part of your day-to-day responsibilities.
