Manage production environment reliability, performance, and security, and provide tools and environments for software and data engineers.
Must have strong experience with cloud-native technologies, automation, and diverse infrastructure tasks including Kubernetes and database scaling.
Hilbert is a scalable, data science-first growth engine that gives B2C teams predictive clarity into user behavior, revenue drivers, and the actions that drive sustainable growth. Fully agentic by design, Hilbert shrinks months-long decision cycles to minutes. From Fortune 10 enterprises to beloved brands like FreshDirect, Blank Street, and Levain Bakery, operators run their growth on Hilbert. We're also co-building alongside leading AI companies. You are the engine that keeps our infrastructure humming. Reporting to the Lead Platform Engineer, you are responsible for the day-to-day reliability, performance, and security of Hilbert’s production environments. You are the "first responder" for infra issues and the "enabler" for our Software and Data engineers, ensuring they have the environments and tools (Queues, DBs, CI/CD) they need to ship fast. THE ROLE The "Swiss Army Knife": You are comfortable jumping between a K8s configuration, a GitHub Action pipeline, and a MongoDB scaling issue. Automation Enthusiast: If you have to do something twice, you write a script for it. Reliability Obsessed: You understand that "down-time" for our portal means "lost trust" for our customers. Cloud Native: Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform/CloudFormation. WHO THRIVES IN THIS ROLE Maintain and monitor our AWS EKS clusters and supporting services (Redis, Mongo, SQS). Work with the Software team to provision new environments for "Design Partner" projects. Support the "Packaging" initiative by testing Helm charts in various simulated environments. Bonus Points Observability Specialist: Experience setting up Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog dashboards that actually tell a story. Infra as a Code: Ability to write clean, maintainable code for custom infra-automation. Database Management: Hands-on experience with ClickHouse or MongoDB performance tuning. Location San Francisco, or Istanbul At least 5 hours overlap with PST timezone (7am-5pm) Compensation Competitive salary + equity package, commensurate with experience. Performance-based bonuses tied to project milestones and customer impact. The Hiring Journey Short form → Intro call → Technical working session → Team conversations → Offer Fast, human, no bureaucracy.
