Our members include universal banks, regional banks, and the major foreign banks doing business in the United States. Collectively, they employ millions of Americans, make a majority of the nation's small business loans, and serve as an engine for financial innovation and economic growth. Our staff includes economists, researchers, financial and policy analysts, government relations professionals, and attorneys, all focused on using data and analysis to shape sound policy. We distribute our research and analysis to U.S. and global regulators, members of Congress, academics, and media through academic-quality research papers, blog posts, white papers, comment letters, and Congressional testimony. Position Summary: The Knowledge & Data Content Manager will ensure that BPI's knowledge and intellectual content is well-organized, accessible, and consistently managed. This role will focus on the day-to-day systems, processes, and tools that help staff and members locate and use BPI's work product - from internal memoranda and regulatory analysis to comment letters, research papers, and blogs. This position is hands-on and operational, requiring strong organizational skills and an ability to maintain processes that improve how content is stored, retrieved, and leveraged across the organization. The Knowledge & Content Manager will also assist in identifying opportunities to apply emerging AI tools to enhance access and usability, under the direction of BPI leadership. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Content Management & Organization • Maintain systems to catalog and store BPI's internal and external work product (e.g., memoranda, comment letters, blogs, research notes, one-pagers). • Ensure consistency in tagging, indexing, and storage across BPI platforms (NetDocuments, SharePoint, OneDrive, BPI public website). • Support version control and archiving processes. Technology & AI Support • Help pilot and maintain AI tools that enhance search and knowledge management. • Apply AI responsibly under BPI's guidelines to improve tagging, indexing, and content summaries. • Provide staff training and guidance on using tools effectively. Knowledge Accessibility & Usability • Develop and maintain searchable content libraries and knowledge bases. • Respond to staff requests for archived materials and help identify relevant past work. • Assist teams in repurposing content for members, outreach, or new projects. Process Support & Governance • Implement document management policies and retention workflows. • Provide staff training on content systems and best practices. • Coordinate with IT and operations to ensure compliance and security. Cross-Team Collaboration • Work with research, legal, communications, and policy staff to capture and store work product consistently. • Support the Head of Membership and COO in advancing improvements to knowledge management. • Provide administrative support for special projects related to content or data systems. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • 3-5 years of relevant experience in knowledge/content management. • Familiarity with document management platforms (NetDocuments, SharePoint, OneDrive). • Interest in and basic understanding of AI-enabled content tools. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Excellent communication and ability to train colleagues on systems and processes. • Experience with policy, legal, or regulatory material is a plus. Education: • Bachelor's degree required; background in library/information science, knowledge management, or related field preferred. BPI seeks to attract and retain top talent by offering a competitive compensation package that includes excellent health and dental insurance, generous retirement savings plans, tuition reimbursement, student loan repayment assistance and commuting assistance (either bike, Metro or parking). This is a Washington, DC-based position, and the successful candidate generally will be expected to work in BPI's DC office Monday-Thursday each week, with the option to work remotely 20 days per year. All Fridays are work-from-home. All applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States for BPI. BPI will not sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas.
