Job Summary: Own day-to-day freight and transportation for a fast-growing cabinetry manufacturer serving multi-family and community projects. You will plan and dispatch a 3-truck local fleet, manage overflow with LTL and FTL partners, control freight spend, and ensure on-time, damage-free deliveries to jobsites, warehouses, and customers. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year Experience: Microsoft Office: 3 years (Required) Ability to Commute: Aurora, CO 80011 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Aurora, CO 80011: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In-person Responsibilities: - Develop and implement logistics strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient operations - Create accurate shipping documentation including BOLs, packing lists, site requirements, and certificates of insurance - Book and tender shipments, set appointments, and track loads through delivery to meet OTIF targets - Oversee order fulfillment processes from procurement to delivery - Monitor transportation costs and negotiate contracts with carriers - Implement best practices in materials handling, shipping, receiving, and warehousing - Utilize root cause analysis to identify and resolve logistics issues promptly - Lead a team of logistics professionals to achieve departmental goals - Manage vendor relationships and performance to ensure quality service - Ensure compliance with DOT and company safety policies; schedule preventive maintenance so trucks stay road-ready What You Bring: • 4 or more years in freight, transportation, or carrier management within manufacturing, building products, or construction supply • Working knowledge of NMFC classes, accessorials, appointments, inside delivery, liftgate, stairs, union site rules, and jobsite constraints • Proven ability to read project schedules and align deliveries to installation sequences • Data skills in Excel or Google Sheets, including pivots and lookups for reporting and audits • Clear, professional communication with carriers, drivers, internal teams, and customers • Nice to have: experience delivering to multi-family jobsites and managing white glove or inside deliveries Key Performance Indicators • OTIF rate by mode (company fleet and 3PL) • Cost per shipment and cost per pound versus budget • Damage rate and claims recovery cycle time • Accessorial incidence and recovery rate • Carrier scorecard results and routing guide compliance • First-stop on-time percentage and average dwell time at sites Physical and Work Requirements • On-site role in Commerce City with routine time in the warehouse and at the dock • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and move safely in warehouse environments Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Employee assistance program • Health insurance • Health savings account • Life insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance
