Bachelor’s degree preferably in engineering or equivalent industry experience, 5+ years in ceramic powder technologies or related fields, strong communication and presentation skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and ability to travel 50%.
About the Position About the Position Höganäs in North America is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to be the primary sales representative to promote our products and services for our Additive Manufacturing & Advanced Ceramics materials Division. The position will be remote, preferably located in the Eastern US region with the ability to travel nationwide. Responsibilities of the position include: Sells directly to new and existing end users and manufacturers, indirectly and through various sales channels, focusing on the advanced ceramic powders market in North America. Identifies and contacts prospective customers and builds relationships to generate future sales. Establishes key relationships throughout the customer’s organization and demonstrates creative approaches to achieve customer success. Assesses customer needs and obstacles and recommends appropriate products, services, and solutions. Develops and drives new business with customers, providing technical support and quality customer service. Develops and delivers sales quotes, NDAs, contracts, price updates, presentations, proposals and conducts product demonstrations. Submits annual budget and quarterly forecasts, evaluates sales results on a continuous basis and reports significant shifts in volume requirements. Coordinates with respective departments on activities with customers such as investigations, technical projects, presentations, and complaints. Coordinates order details with customer service and credit management. Your Profile: Qualified applicants will possess a bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering, with a minimum of five years’ experience working with ceramic powder technologies, processes, or materials in the space, aerospace, energy, or industrial markets. Direct related industry experience, in lieu of a degree, will be considered. Applicants will have experience utilizing customer management systems, excellent time management and communication/presentation skills. Team oriented professional who can develop internal relationships and can drive work autonomously. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and a valid driver’s license with the ability to travel an average of 50% of the time is required.
