Minimum 2 years sales or customer-facing experience, preferably in petrochemical or specialty chemicals, with strong communication, organizational skills, and proficiency in MS Office.
Basic Function Reporting to and under direct supervisor of the Director of Specialty Fluids, the Sales Manager is responsible for supporting the growth of the Specialty Fluids business with an emphasis on process oils for various applications. This role supports lead qualification, customer onboarding, distributor enablement and account development at a fairly entry-level, while learning the full scope of our specialty’s product offering and contributing to strategic sales initiatives. This role works remotely with up to 30-50% travel required for various purposes such as customer visits, industry events and team collaboration. Job Duties Identify, process, qualify, and assign all inbound leads across the sales team and distributor partner network Follow up on tradeshow and event-generated leads to drive conversion Accelerate growth in strategic segments (tires, general rubber, polymers, adhesives, asphalt, drilling, agriculture, etc.) and other applications by identifying key targets Develop share-of-wallet opportunities within the existing account base through regular engagement and solution selling Analyze, trend, and act on the sampling program to improve conversion and customer engagement Collaborate with Sales leadership to assess sales and freight variances and identify improvement opportunities Participate in cross-functional projects with supply chain, technical services, and product development to create new sales enablers, tools, or process improvements Support account managers in developing proposals, presentations, and RFIs Coordinate new customer setup, distributor business plan execution, campaign rollouts, and contract deliverables Maintain accurate tracking of contacts, leads, opportunities, forecasts, account plans, call reports and impact statements in Salesforce CRM Contribute to market research and competitive analysis to support strategic planning Core Focus Areas Driving growth across our Specialties portfolio through strategic account management Navigating complex B2B sales cycles and influencing customer decision-making at multiple levels Executing best-in-class lead generation, account planning, and relationship-building strategies Partnering cross-functionally with customer service, technical, regulatory, and supply chain teams to deliver integrated customer solutions Experience Minimum of 2 years of sales administration or customer-facing experience B2B sales experience, ideally in the petrochemical or specialty chemicals industry, preferred Education Bachelor’s degree in business, sales and/or marketing, chemistry or field related to this position Required Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Customer-focused with a proactive mindset Organized, analytical, and results-driven Proficient in MS Office Suite Preferred Skills Speaking and writing languages commonly used across the Americas and/or Asia considered an asset Experience with Salesforce, SAP, and Power BI Familiarity with lead generation platforms Technical understanding or competencies of specialty chemicals or lubricants Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility NoneWork Conditions Fully remote role based in the United States Up to 30-50% travel required Benefits HF Sinclair offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being of our employees and their families.
