Job Summary: HEXA Containment is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations in La Porte, Texas. We're not looking for someone who knows our industry, but for a leader who is passionate about managing and developing people. You will be responsible for leading our production team and ensuring we meet our operational goals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing entry-level employees in a physically demanding, labor-intensive environment. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is a significant plus. Key Responsibilities & Functions: LMA (Lead, Manage, and Accountable) You will be the core leader of our production team. This involves leading by setting a clear vision and positive example, managing the team through effective communication and consistent guidance, and holding your team accountable for their performance and adherence to standards. Your primary focus is on the people, ensuring they are engaged, trained, and motivated to succeed. Production Planning & Resource Management You will be responsible for the day-to-day planning and scheduling of all production activities. A critical part of this function is managing labor costs by optimizing shift schedules, monitoring overtime, and ensuring we have the right number of people to meet production targets without excess. You will also oversee the efficient use of raw materials, equipment, and other resources to maximize output and minimize waste. Quality Control & Assurance You will hold the ultimate accountability for the quality of our products. This includes implementing and enforcing quality control procedures, conducting regular inspections, and establishing a system to quickly identify and resolve any product defects. You will ensure that every item leaving the facility meets HEXA Containment's rigorous quality standards. Safety The safety of our team is non-negotiable. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe work environment for all employees. This involves enforcing all safety protocols, conducting regular safety briefings and audits, and ensuring all equipment is operated and maintained according to safety standards. You will lead by example and promote a strong safety culture. Continuous Improvement & Implementation You will be expected to continuously seek out and implement improvements to our production processes. This includes identifying inefficiencies, developing solutions to operational challenges, and implementing new procedures or technologies that will enhance productivity and quality. You will foster a culture of problem-solving and proactive improvement among your team. Qualifications: • Proven experience managing a team of entry-level employees in a labor-intensive industry. • A true passion for people management and leadership. • Strong understanding of how to manage labor costs and other resources. • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred. • A college degree is a plus, but not required.
