We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the Distributor Relations Area Manager position, joining our team to cover the southern territory of Florida! Job Summary: We are an established snack food brand developing on the East Coast of Florida and are looking for an Area Sales Manager to develop relationships with accounts, work directly with distributors, and solicit new business for the growing region. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; 5+ years’ experience in outside business-to-business sales with a deep understanding of the direct store delivery business required. College degree preferred but not required. Clean driving record with a valid driver’s license and demonstrated satisfactory safety record. Demonstrated team player who is skilled in gaining & encouraging trust, support & collaboration of others. Personally committed to and actively works to continuously improve sales skills. Acts with customers best interests in mind, recognizes needs of internal and external customers as important. Understands and embraces the value of safety. Able to understand and speak English; bi-lingual a plus. Physical requirements and work environment: Frequently walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, balancing, and lifting and reaching using fine manipulation Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds. Occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. Identify and maximize opportunities to obtain new business and meet and/or exceed sales objectives. Directs and provides guidance to distributors to drive extraordinary customer service and execution of business within accounts. Formulate growth strategies to achieve goals set forth for the region and according to budget. Maintain communication with customers and provide direct guidance and support to distributors in order to drive sales and relationships. In addition to the essential functions listed above, the employee is expected to exercise honesty, integrity and respect with all clients and co-workers, preserve confidentially of all business information and data, maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, demonstrate a positive attitude, communicate effectively with co-workers and clients, work with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail, respect the work environment and keep it as environmentally friendly as possible, and exercise initiative to learn new skills and tasks and to help co-workers when possible.
